Han L. Lee released an art inspired
retro line entitled “The Public Zoo”
was unveiled at the Pool apparel
show in Las Vegas, February the 18,
2009. The
Public Zoo is a co-op between the
artistic creator of Bobby Jack, Han
L. Lee, and a premium fashion
house. Han L. Lee has taken
inspiration from his personal
experiences in recent travels to the
Shinjuku and Harajuku districts in
Tokyo as well as the Apkujong
district in Seoul.
The Public Zoo is a mixture of ultra
cool art inspirations of Asia and
the layback fashion style of
Southern California. Han drew
heavily from retro Asian character
art (especially
the 80’s), anime, high
fashion, and the creativity and
ingenuity that have become
synonymous with his other characters
and brands.
The brand is committed to bringing
the finest garments and fresh
innovative designs to the fashion
forward and trendsetter. The
character driven line will
incorporate premium garments along
with innovative fabrics, washes, and
dyes. The Public Zoo collection is
set on pushing the limitations of
design by creating a perfect medium
between art and
fashion, and
incorporating it into the apparel
line and accessories
